These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Cook's Ticket training platform and certification services operated by Rasborg ApS (CVR 39821796).
1. Service Provider
Cook's Ticket is operated by Rasborg ApS, registered in Denmark under CVR number 39821796, with registered address at Bagergade 17B, 3700 Rønne, Bornholm, Denmark.
2. Service Description
Cook's Ticket provides an online training and assessment programme for ship's cooks, recognised by the Danish Maritime Authority. Cook's Ticket issues a Certificate of Completion after a successful assessment and SFS reporting. The official Danish Ship's Cook Certificate is issued solely by the Danish Maritime Authority after a separate application process. The service includes: access to eight training modules, a practical video assessment reviewed by a certified Danish examiner, and a remote proctored theoretical examination.
3. Eligibility
Eligibility requirements relate to the separate application for the official Danish Ship's Cook Certificate. A candidate may complete Cook's Ticket before, during or after meeting those application requirements.
4. Pricing and Payment
The Cook's Ticket programme fee is $899 USD and covers the eight training modules, practical assessment and proctored final exam. The Danish Maritime Authority application fee is 855 DKK, paid separately and directly to the authority; it is not included in the programme fee and is not collected by Cook's Ticket. Re-examination is available at $199 USD per attempt.
5. Refund Policy
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to contact@cookscertificate.com. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. No refund is available after the practical video assessment has been submitted or the theoretical exam has been attempted.
6. Examination
The theoretical examination is conducted via a GDPR-compliant, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certified remote proctoring platform. Two certified examiners oversee each session. Candidates must have a stable internet connection and comply with all proctoring requirements.
7. Certificate Issuance
After successful completion of the practical assessment and theoretical examination, Cook's Ticket issues its Certificate of Completion and reports the result to the Danish Maritime Authority. The official Danish Ship's Cook Certificate is issued only by the authority after its separate application process.
8. Intellectual Property
All course materials, video content, and platform design are the intellectual property of Rasborg ApS. Candidates may not reproduce, distribute, or share course materials without written permission.
9. Complaints and Appeals
Candidates have a formal right to complain about exam results or the training process in accordance with Executive Order no. 861 of 19 June 2024. See our Complaints & Appeals Procedure for full details.
